At GoodPud, we believe dessert should be indulgent, joyful, and made with the finest ingredients—because life is simply better with a sweet treat.

It all started with two sisters, a Thanksgiving visit, and an idea too tantalizing to ignore. Co-founders Polly & Sarah grew up in Yorkshire, UK, where good food, good company, and a good laugh were always on the menu. Their paths took them in different directions—Sarah into a career in media & film production, and Polly into food product development & manufacturing, where she spent over 25 years crafting delicious creations.

When Sarah moved to Tillsonburg, Ontario (nestled between Oxford County’s dairy farms and Norfolk County’s foodie scene), she quickly realized something was missing—a truly indulgent, high-quality chilled chocolate dessert. One year when Polly came to visit for Thanksgiving, the idea of GoodPud was born: a business dedicated to crafting small-batch, restaurant-quality chocolate desserts that bring pure joy to every spoonful.

Armed with complementary skills, a shared love of great food, and just the right amount of joyful optimism, the sisters took the leap. Six months later, GoodPud was officially born—and by the following Thanksgiving, they were selling their first creamy, decadent chocolate pots at the Tillsonburg Farmers' Market.

Polly

Polly survived a literal chocolate mousse flood in a chocolate mousse factory. A computer malfunction opened all the valves and pipes.

Sarah

Sarah inadvertently swam in piranha infested waters while swimming with river dolphins. She still has all her toes.

From our humble farmers' market beginnings, we’ve grown into a proudly Ontario-made brand: creating handcrafted, preservative-free chocolate desserts using fresh, local cream and the finest Belgian chocolate. And we’re just getting started.

In addition to opening our own retail location & manufacturing space in 2024, we've expanded into more retailers across Southern Ontario, attended loads of amazing food fairs & events, and we're planning even more collaborations to come.
